Definition

Words that go with noun and tell us something about them are called adjectives. Adjectives are one of the main parts of speech of the English language, although historically they were classed together with nouns. Because adjectives are used to identify or quantify individual people and unique things, they are usually positioned before the noun or pronoun that they modify.

Examples of Adjectives

Ali is a fat boy	علی موٹا لڑکا ہے
He is an intelligent boy	وہ ایک ذہین لڑکا ہے
This is new book	یہ نئی کتاب ہے
I have a little milk	میرے پاس تھوڑا سا دودھ ہے
I have ten rupees	میرے پاس دس روپے ہیں

He had enough milk	اسکے پاس کافی دودھ ہے

Adjective of Number

I have six rupees	میرے پاس چھ روپے ہیں
Three books are on the table	میرے پاس تین کتابیں ہیں

Demonstrative Adjective

This is my chair	یہ میری کرسی ہے
These are your pens	یہ تمہارے قلم ہیں
